Hotels in Western Cape, South Africa

The Western Cape sits on South Africa's southwestern tip, with a Mediterranean climate that brings hot, dry summers (December to February average 80°F/27°C) and cool, wet winters (June to August average 60°F/16°C). It's famous for Table Mountain's flat-topped summit, the Cape of Good Hope's rugged cliffs, and world-class wine valleys like Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. In summer you can hike up Table Mountain or kayak with penguins at Boulders Beach, while winter is perfect for whale watching in Hermanus (where southern right whales come close to shore) and exploring the Cape Winelands' cellar tours without the crowds.
